Jeffrey M. Cohon is a Partner in the firm and has been in practice over 36 years.
Jeff’s focus has been on litigation and labor and employment matters. He started his practice at the Los Angeles office of the insurance defense firm of Murchison & Cumming, after which he practiced for 11 years with Cohon & Gardner in Century City. In 2003, he formed Cohon & Pollak, LLP, and managed the Los Angeles office where he supervised a team of experienced labor and employment attorneys. In 2017, his former partner scaled back his practice and Jeffrey took over the firm along with another associate.
He has defended a wide range of employment disputes for the last three decades and handled hundreds of state and federal wage and hour claims, many of which involved class action and PAGA claims. He also defended a broad spectrum of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims under FEHA and Title VII, COVID protections, as well as ADA and ERISA claims, and workplace violence restraining orders. He represented employers in connection with the US Department of Labor and the California Civil Rights Department (formerly the Department of Fair Employment and Housing) investigations and prosecutions.
